EDUCATION COMMITTEE MEETING The next Education meeting is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, May 7 at 7 p.m.

EVENTS TEAM MEETING DATE CHANGE The Events Team will meet on Wed. May 7 at 5:30 p.m. at Johnny Carino's Italian Grill on 32nd and King Ave. A "First Fruits" offering will be taken at the meeting. Each person will order off the menu, so please bring money to cover your meal. All women in the congregation are invited to attend - just RSVP to Lisa Sorensen by Mon. May 5 so reservations can be made.

WOMEN’S RUN The women’s run is being held this Saturday, May 10 starting at 8:30 a.m. We will be meeting up as a group in front of the Billings Library at 8:15 a.m. If you do not care to participate in the Women’s Run, you are still welcome to join us for lunch at Santa Fe Reds at 12 noon.

WORSHIP MEETING The Worship Committee will meet next Sunday, May 11, following the worship service.

EVANGELISM COMMITTEE MEETING The next Evangelism Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 13 at 7 p.m.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR CHURCH CLEAN-UP DAY Apostles is having its church clean-up day on Saturday, May 17 from 8 a.m. to noon. Consider coming and helping to beautify God’s house!

CARE TEAM The Care team will have its next meeting at Apostles on Monday, May 12 at 7 p.m.

HERITAGE TEAM The next Heritage team meeting will be on Monday, May 12th at 9:30 a.m. at the church. All ladies of the congregation are invited to attend, even if you are not on a team.

FELLOWSHIP TEAM The next Fellowship team meeting will be at the Wenz house on Monday, May 12th at 7 p.m.

SCRAPBOOK NIGHT! Please join the Heritage team for the first scrapbook night on Wednesday, May 21 at 6:30 pm in the Church Fellowship hall. A light snack and lots of pictures, memorabilia, scrapbook tools, and fun will be provided.

APOSTLES SOCCER CAMP 2008 It is time to announce Apostles’ Soccer Camp 2008 on June 23-27 at Millice Park located at the corner of 29th St. W and Central Ave. This camp will be held Monday through Friday, from 1-4 pm. for children ages 4-13. We will be taking applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. The soccer camp is going to be a real soccer camp in which we learn, practice and improve our individual skills, teamwork, and knowledge of the game of soccer. All of the participants will be given REAL soccer jerseys and quality water bottles to use during camp to keep as souvenirs of their experience.

This camp serves as a sort of vacation Bible school as well. Besides helping them pass and dribble better, we plan on sharing with them the amazing way that God showed his love to us by sending Jesus to give us real life! The cost will be $25 for the first child and $15 for each brother or sister. If you are interested in this camp, you can pick up an application located on the publications wall in the narthex. SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE TO JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES At one time or another everyone has met Jehovah’s Witnesses at the door. Just who are these Witnesses? In his new book, author Roland Cap Ehlke investigates the “made in America” religion of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. This examination studies their history, what Witnesses believe, and how to share the gospel with them. Dr. Roland Cap Ehlke, an associate professor of adult education at Concordia University Wisconsin, is the author of numerous books, including Speaking the Truth in Love to Muslims, Christianity, Cults, and World Religions; plus Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs in the People’s Bible commentary series. Speaking the Truth in Love to Jehovah’s Witnesses is a great resource for personal and group study! Questions to stimulate discussion are included, as well as useful subject and Scripture indexes. A list of Jehovah’s Witness vocabulary words is helpful in studying this complex religious sect.
